Website Design Overhaul

Based on the notable feedback from Escape staff and consultants, it was reiterated that the design of the website did not match up with the brand. I used this week to complete alternate versions of the website to better match the brand identity.

Customer Persona Document

To help understand exactly who are customers consist of and the needs that they have, I answered a set of questions provided by Mike Gulvin. These questions revealed a basic understanding of a potential future customer; 'Jungle Culture'.

Ferris Wheel

Turntable Scenes

To display the character models as professional as possible, both in the launch event and website, I developed a turntable scene with 3 separate lighting set-ups. I have also set up the render layers for each of the models. There are some texture files that are not working as intended. Once these are fixed, I can render them out.

Dailies and Troubleshooting

"Similar to the past 2 weeks, I focused on my animation. Key feedback notes that I got from this week came from our meeting with Michael Davies. It was noted that I needed to edit the cameras in my shots, as some of the framing wasn't good. In SH_030 the background character (the goldfish) had much better framing than Maya, our main character. So for this i was instructed to move the camera to better frame her up. In SH_040 the camera was way too high up. This resulted in us only seeing the top of the head, which made their expressions look weird. So I re-animated the camera to start lower and then advance upwards as we see their reaction to the boats. After the camera move, it was shown that in this shot the characters were placed around the scene haphazardly, so they instructed me to tidy that up.

Carrying on with the horse animation, I progressed to the splining. After looking at it for too long, I became blind to the issues, so I uploaded a playblast to Syncketch to get some feedback from Michael Davies and Ross. After uploading and linking them to it I was told that the reference needed to be in the top corner in order to get a proper comparison. I fixed this and re-uploaded. This was a good note and I’ll be sure to include that in my next upload."

While placing some attest within the scene, I have found some atlas Broken Wood pieces that i can place into the project. This is more suitable for the destruction pass if the team has decided to go in that direction. From then onward I will be constructing the scenery with additional props.
