GEORGE MORRIS
Event Documentation
"I took the time to write down a list of 4 ideas that we as a group could pull off within a budget. Within the document I supplied images showing the prices as well as different packages we could choose from."
"Idea 1 I came up with was a simple one. Escape has used a venue called Rich Mix in the past, so we may be able to negotiate with them on a price for a small rented space where we can play our short film and do a quick presentation for people to come to the launch party."
"Idea 2 was my favourite, however it was a little too expensive. I thought in order for the venue to be in line with what we would be presenting renting out a space with marine life would be ideal, so I started looking at packages to rent out a part of the London Aquarium, it is a little expensive however they do offer packages that include food and drinks as well as other nice necessities."
"The other ideas were much cheaper ones we could do in our own time, such as a behind the scenes documentary or a Covid friendly online live stream of our short film."

Test Animations
"This week I wanted to get my head down and finish the rig testing with some more animations. Because of the recent addition to the team doing the fish rig so quickly, we could test animations fairly quickly, which was an enormous help."
"The only issue I ran into this week was, not surprisingly, the rigs. After I passed them on, I encountered a few issues such as Maya's eyes looking broken. We told our rigger, and he tried to make a few fixes. None of which worked. But in the end we found out the issue. They had built the rigs in Maya 2022 and we were using Maya 2019/2020. As we couldn’t switch Maya versions as animators, it fell to our rigger to adapt them to work in earlier versions. Hopefully, by next week we can fix this issue."

MUHAMAD USMAN
I created the cover for the shooting gallery stall by sculpting including the cloth for the food stall stand in Blender. Outsource has created the sign for the fish festival, so I have created a material for the textures and placed them in Unreal. There needed to be a bunch of small assets that will be included within the scene, so I have created 3 moodboards. One for the darts, another for the food stall and the final one is the cans. I have also UV’d both boards.
There was an extremely sharp demand in the environment being updated within the scene, so I have spent the majority of time for the layout as a FINAL. I placed many foliage details, material blending and placed some spare assets within the scene.

PRIYA SHAH
"The progress of the rest of the film is still a bit slow but it’s in a better position than last time. I decided to outsource some animators, modellers and rigger and we are back on schedule. The process development is lacking severely behind and next week is to catch up on event planning and start animation once previs is solid. Before starting animation, Daniel mentioned to test the camera import/export in unreal so we know there won’t be any bugs the day before submission and cause panic. Also, it will be a smoother process to delegate these to the outsourced animators as we can just collect their MA files and export them as alembics ourselves. Me, George and Mo have tested the pipeline, all exports work well, only testing now required is the camera. Once that’s sorted we will start animation by next week."
"With our meeting with ocean generation, we discussed the possible endings post film and what we could show as a solution. We pitched one of their programs called wavemaker that would be a solution, it has been agreed upon so Jack our editor will make a title card for it at the end and we will have a voice actor introducing it at the end."
