Blog Improvements

Over the course of the next couple weeks, my intention is to update the website and blog to a standard I am more content with. At the time of writing, I have designed a prototype for the new blog posts and implemented them into some old blog posts earlier this academic year.

I have constructed a 'Blog Post Checklist' document that details the posts that are expected to be overhauled/redesigned. Target deadline is aiming for the content to be completed by the end of this month.

In addition to the blog, I am developing plans to improve the user experience of my personal website with hopes on adhering to the same deadline. Projects such as Suncoast's 'Our Ocean', my 'Pic-a-Day' project and 'Tarot Card' projects will be added to the website.

Reflection Segment

"A significant process that the website has always been lacking is polish. The foundations of the website are there, but the user experience, design, etc. has always been rushed or overlooked. OddWatch's project page, for example, has more than a dozen web pages detailing business, research and artistic information. It's an inconvenience for the user to explore certain pages. This is something that has consistently been on my mind since our sessions with Mike Gulvin at university. I'd like to attempt to implement his lessons into my own personal website. Hoping it would improve the website overall."

"Over the course of the next few weeks, I intend to work on both the website and the blog. I do move house at the end of the month so I will be aiming to have everything updated by then. After the move, and hopefully the website update, I should be able to continue with my specialism."
