"A film-set reconstruction of one of the shots from Box Bots"
Objective
The intention of this project was to take one of the shots that was filmed for our Box Bots short film and create a reconstruction for one of the shots.
I chose SH010 to create a reconstruction for as it was the longest shot of the film and, being the establishment shot, showed the most detail in the surroundings.
This project was intended to practice and push my reconstruction skills further than the jukebox project.
In total, there were over 60 objects that I had to create geometry for and place in the reconstruction.

Matchmoving
Matchmoving and basic layout was conducted in 3DEqualizer. The layout geometry would then be imported into Maya and the rest of the reconstruction would happen there. This was due to the amount of items in the shot as 3DE isn't best at navigating a large number of items in a 3D space (the outliner in Maya was much more efficient at navigating a high number of items in a reconstruction).
