Strengths/Weaknesses of VR as a Storytelling Medium
VR offers an experience that is more immersive to other mediums that are usually consumed. VR is more akin to an experience found within a theatre as each have methods to direct the audience's attention.
VR falters in some aspects, however. Film and TV have the advantage of using composition, framing and mise-en-scene, whereas VR does not.
Since VR is a 360° experience, it is a frameless environment, so it is up to the director to suggest framing.

“Dramatic shifts in action, lighting, and/or sound within that space will pull the user’s attention in that direction.” - Logan Dwight, 2016.
This lesson explored tools which utilizes VR spaces and the possibility of using one for class in the future.

Reflection Segment
"As a hypothetical, exploring the tangent of the VR medium within my business is quite a challenge. One of the marketing trends that I have researched is called 'App-vertising'. This trend insinuates that the advertisement itself is becoming the content we consume. You can see this most prominent with TikTok and other examples such as the video game; 'I Love You, Colonel Sanders!' Exploring the hypothetical that you can have a branded VR experience (e.g. McDonald's, Burger King, etc.) that advertises said brand, is not completely out of the question.
"This is a potential branch my business idea can go down. Developing a branded VR experience for Nando's (for example) could be a VR cooking sim. Or a Mazda (example) VR experience that explores each car in great detail, similar to what the Forza Motorsport series has done."
