“Turtle and fish Movement research, Started on rigging”

"For this week I went back to the beginning and researched how the turtles and fish would move if I was going to do this all from scratch. For this I started watching videos, noting down how I saw them move. This worked well for the Turtles, it was very clear how they moved and didn’t need further looking into. However, the fish was a bit more difficult and required me to look into the shape of the body and the fins and research how fish with those specific traits move. In the end, I got to a good resolution and figured out that these types of small tropical fish can move slowly and steadily but are much more likely to zip and dart around. I thought this would create a fantastic contrast between the two different ‌species, the slow and steady turtle and the speedy fish. It would also add to the dread you feel for the turtles when one of them gets trapped, they can’t move quickly so it would increase your concern when you see the pollution reach them."

"From this, I tried to start on rigging but I kept getting the same problem. The body clips through the shell a lot, because of this I made the shell deform a little. However, a little turned into a lot and soon I hit a wall as it looked very wrong. Deciding to give it a few more days I soldiered on hoping to fix the issue."
