'Heart of the Nameless' Budget Estimation
Last week involved the research of business costs. This ranged from typical office expenses (renting, utilities, etc.) to optional costs (decoration, office dog, etc.). I compiled this information into the master spreadsheet as a general estimation sheet.

In the hypothetical that the client intends to pay for our services, the percentage allocation shows how much 'hypothetical' money goes towards each department. For example, 9.9% of payment is allocated towards the management of the project.

"Similar to the last entry, this week was also focused on art and design more than business. This week we’re enjoying the first week of our Christmas and New Year break! I took it easy and finished the drawings and made some mood boards while I was at it. The mood board took little time at all as it was focusing on the textures of real turtles and the colour, we want Maya to be. This only took me a few hours to complete and is hopefully a good help to Sonya who is going to be doing our texturing. The story beats were going well, and I was almost done, but we were unsure on the ending so I left it open so I could either finish it later or resolve it through the storyboard. We needed a meeting with ocean generation to see if they’re OK with a character dying or if they think it’s too morbid."
"Because of the sudden stop, I wasn’t sure what to focus on. I decided after much deliberation to do a couple of coloured story beasts that I thought could reflect the mood of the festival before the pollution. The two I decided on were Troy and Dex swimming through the water having a chat. I put on Finding Nemo and Finding Dory for a little inspiration and, as I wasn’t very good with digital media, I used the watercolours that I hadn’t touched in a while. The result ended up looking a lot more cartoony than expected so it might not be an amazing help but it was nice to see a coloured version as until this point most of it had been in monochrome."
