Wednesday 13 - Mock Presentation

Over the last two weeks, I have been pitching my ideas to the class and below is the presentation as well as the feedback I have received.

Come up with some clear ideas

- brainstorm ideas for what you can make

- clarify on what we are selling

The content is more tailored for the client/brand who comes to us.

You have to put yourself in the mindset of your consumer.

5/5/5 Brainstorming; Think of...

- 5 industries.

- 5 products per industry.

- 5 'oddvert' concepts per product.

Wednesday 20 - Pitch Presentation

:NVRTstudios; "going forward"
feedback from pitch...

- polish slides by removing small errors
- left square bracket in hypothesis slide
- video playback error

- Introduce each concept much more clearly.

- moodboard per idea proposal

- video introduction frame before prototype
- Animatic scratch track
- Animatic side bars

- Technics:
- understand the function of the device
- Play to the features of the device
- Play to the idea that music changes emotion

- Include a problem/solution slide
- The business aspect should include a summary of the lean canvas

- Much clearer animatics are needed
- Research costs for production
- Finalize the idea

Reflection Segment

"Through the weeks, my idea has gone on too many tangents to count. Originally, my idea was a photogrammetry studio for product demonstrations within the tech industry."

"Upon doing some research, I found out that the photogrammetry method for the business idea was not feasible. Product demonstrations are purely 3D as it removes the need for a physical prototype, mitigating costs."

"Hence why I removed the photogrammetry tool from the business idea."

"Introducing the updated idea to Julia, there were mentions of the idea being too focused and I was recommended to strip back the idea. Julia asked what exactly I wanted to do as a business. This resulted in a stripped back of idea of simply 'producing creatives for companies.'"

"Approaching the first 'mock pitch', I took the stripped back idea and began developing a rushed concept in time for the pitch. This process caused the pitch to fail."

At this point in the course, the idea has been 'ping-ponged' from a stripped back idea to a focused one in attempt to follow the direction of the tutors. Right now, the idea is in limbo until I can accumulate an adequate amount of research and focus the idea when I am confident enough to do so."
