After debating with myself whether or not this post is relevant to my course or not, I came to the conclusion after my first client meeting with Dean and Madeline (Ash Guides) that this should be mentioned. Since I am the sole member of OddWatch at the time of writing, my personal portfolio is a large component I can show to clients that represent the kind of work I can do. Hence why my personal portfolio needs to be a part of what I submit. Largely because Daniel Waterman’s ‘Striking Out’ session is the reason as to why I have overhauled my personal website in the first place. Just to mention, the submission should NOT consider the content that is on the page, just the way it is presented (the website itself).
Although still a work in progress, it is inevitable to draw comparisons that highlight improvements (WIX is just a better tool, in my opinion).

Not only is the improvement evident through the tool that I’ve used, but my creative approach is also drastically different as well. My time with Weebly, for the most part, was done because I just had to do it. It was a submission deadline and I already knew how to use Weebly.
Although time constraints were a factor that reflected quality, arguably my approach was a factor also. Since overhauling my website, I have been looking at hundreds of websites and thousands of references and understanding what elements look appealing and why they work. It wouldn't be possible to show every example of this, but I can list some notable ones:
